Thank God, the RSAF open house is finally over. Been standing under the rain and sun welcoming people with the same old lines .
One thing I realised, was that I love interacting with the public. And watching the air show really gave me a sense of pride of working in the air force. Makes all the shit work that I've done seem worth while.
Standing out in the open for 4 days has left me with quite a bad sun burn. Especially on my face. Am so going to hate the peeling when it happens.
Totally shagged out right now.

This is turning out to be quite a bad year for me, in terms of health...

Most guys if asked about their national service will often reply by saying "it sucks" or something negative along that line. And its no different at where I work. Yet surprisingly, I love what I do.
Of course there are ups and downs. Right now, I'm feeling very frustrated due to my lack of knowledge and incompetency. I feel so noob. The end result is, I often screw up, make mistakes and add more work.
This feeling sucks. I love what I do. I love to see the planes take off with the ammo I load. I love to see the planes start.
But I hate to screw up everyday.

This I heard over the radio on the drive home and I got to share.
Justin & Vernon: Hello! Muttons to midnight.
Caller: I want to complain about my boyfriend.
Justin: Why? What happened?
Caller: He doesn't want to call me.
Vernon: Then why don't you call him?
Caller: I can only sms him to call me. I can't call him because his mother will check his phone.
Justin: I got a solution.
Vernon: Solution? How?
Justin: Use pigeons. Write your messages and send them with the pigeons.
Vernon: That's a good idea. Whose mom will check on their son's bird?
Justin: No mom would.
