As we grow older, our priorities, objectives and perception changes.
We tend to have less time to meet up with old friends and even lesser time to socialize and make new friends. What time we have, we spend it on work, self and family. Family in the sense of gf/wife inclusive. I mean at this point in time, those of us who are in a r/s are in it till the end. No longer like in a past where more often than not, its just a case of puppy love or infatuation.
Then again, I'm not asking one to pin the blame on their partner for the lack of social life. But rather its a gradual and slow change in priorities - where we begin our family of our own. I believe its the way nature programmes us to be. Nothing much we can do about that.
Objectives wise, I'd say most people right now would be looking to earn their "pot of gold". To educate themselves so as to earn more. Gone were the days when all we thought of were, better sports skills, better gaming skills. For me, I've kind of given up of basketball but definitely not my gym work outs. Studies and work as just as important too.
Hmmm... Perception. Perhaps its the wisdom we've accumulated since coming into existence. Made us wiser, made us think and analyze before we do something. Life along the way has taught us a few pretty good lessons. More often then not, we end up taking life's tests first before being taught the lesson. Irony isn't it? Haha...
So sad as it is... Needs and wants differ, life style as a result changes. Friends seem to be going their own ways and therefore harder to meet up. Man... Growing up is quite a pain no?
