Talk about stepping out of your comfort zone and trying something new, guess what? I played Futsal with my colleagues today. Its something like soccer but on a smaller, indoor pitch.
While the start was a little tough for me, I gradually got into the flow of the game and surprise surprise, I found myself enjoying the game.
Feels like good training for my legs too. They're freaking sore right now.
Life goes on...

Bought my first meal with my credit card today. Just wished that the food was better. Compared to our last visit, the food tonight was sub par.
On a brighter note, my training is finally gaining some form of traction. Praying that I can sustain this and push myself to greater heights. I miss being strong.

Attended Glenda and Andrew's wedding today. So happy for Glenda that she finally found her man and knowing Andrew, I'd say she definitely knows how to choose. Haha...
On a side note, attending a wedding alone amplifies the fact that you're single and very much alone.
Life goes on...
I'm not ready yet. But when I am, I hope I can find my queen.

When I was growing up, I used to lament on the lack of cards to fill up all the slots in my wallet.
Now, I lament on the lack of slots in my wallet for all my cards.
Oh the irony.

Its been a week at work and I got to admit I finally understood all the TGIF and "OMG. Its Monday tomorrow" pictures circulating on Facebook. Haha...
So far I'm spending my time in office reading up textbooks and manuals. Still awaiting my work computer to arrive. All I've got now is an ancient computer capable only of dealing with emails and web browsing.
Colleagues wise, I'd say I couldn't have asked for a better mentor. She's pretty much like a mother-figure; not just age wise but she is very patient and nice. As for my "clique" - the people I hang out with during lunch, they are mostly my age. I think I need more time with them, still trying to find that chemistry.
On a totally different topic, none of the movies these year that I've caught have lived up to the hype and expectations. Iron man 3, Oblivion, Fast 6 and After Earth were all let downs to me. I left the theater with a huge sense of disappointment after each show. Come on 2013, give me just one good movie please!

Today marks the official transition of student to working adult. First day of work!
Oh how time flies - 26 years after birth, I'm finally independant.

I've attended and completed my Lion Befriender's volunteer orientation program today and I'm really excited about beginning my journey as a volunteer. Hopefully, I can apply what I've learnt today not just on my volunteerism work but in life as well.
It was a great experience abet rather boring at times due to the long monotonous lecture and some what repetitive activities. Most importantly, I had fun and made new friends! Cheers to that!
Also, after today's course, the two things that struck me the deepest are, not being judgmental and validation. Its really important that one does not judge another and honestly, I'm very guilty of that. It is important that you give validation to others. Remember how its like when people compliment you? Yea, do the same for others. It'll make the world a better place.
And so, from today onwards I'll live by this motto:
Life goes on...
Thank you for inspiring me to be a better person. You may not have known it but I've always aspired to be like you when it comes to helping others.
