I finally managed to get my arse online! MSN's been giving me alot of crap about my contact list not avaiable etc etc.
Just wanna let you guys know that I'm fine here in India, far away from the mess in Mumbai. Life in India is very 3rd world. When you brush your teeth in the morning in the basin, its like a mini safari, there'll be crickets, moths and all exotic insects which fell into the basin and cant get out. There are times, you'd brush your teeth halfway only to run out of water. Over here, every meal is buffet, catered by a restaurant we hired from outside. So food wise, can't complain. But the meals here lack fibre and most are curry. So its either constipation or diahorrea. Haha... The weather is rather cooling but its getting warmer and warmer. I don't like it. Haha...
The mosquitoes and flies here are huge too. And of course, the lizard is huge as well. Haha...
Lots of stuff to tell you guys but bandwidth is limited and I don't know when I'll disconnect again. Update you guys again when I can.
Take care guys!

Well, this is it. My last post before I leave for India tomorrow. Somehow it still feels like a dream to me, that I'm actually chosen to go for this detachment. But nonetheless, the day will come when I must leave.
Looking forward to the cool weather there and that well, is pretty much it. Hope we get our weekend excursion out to Calcutta.
By the way, Microsoft is coming up with a new keyboard, Sidewinder X6 check out the picture below together with the Sidewinder mouse. Am intending to buy it when I get back. Unless of course, someone would like to buy that for me for Christmas. Haha...

The keyboard keys are back-lit with red LED~! Haha... Anyways, take care guys. Hope to see you all soon when I'm back. Will be returning on the 17th of Dec.
Till then, ciao!

As the lyrics from John Denver's "Leaving On A Jet Plane", all my bags are packed, I'm ready to go...
I've finished packing my luggage and will only be left with my check in luggage to deal with when the time comes nearer. Come to think of it, I'll be leaving for India in a week's time from the 24th of Nov till the 18th of Dec.
Am quite excited honestly. Haha... But damn, I'm going to miss alot of people back at home.

Knocked off from guard duty at 8 am yesterday and surprisingly, as compared to my previous day offs after guard duty, I wasn't the least bit tired. Perhaps it could be due to the fact that I slept so well (for the first time) during the night of my duty.
So home bound I was, took a bath, washed up and left home. Headed down to Bishan, Junction 8's DBS bank to do some transaction.
I closed one of my childhood saving's account and transfered all the funds to a POSB My Savings account. At that point in time, when the lady handed me the foreclosure slip with my POSB account no. on it, I couldn't help but feel a hint of nostalgia fill me. Perhaps one of the reasons why I'm so attached to that account is other than the fact that is was my childhood account, the account number also contained my birthday date in it. Pure coincidence I must add.
So that marks the end of a chapter and the beginning of another.

The barbeque was a success! But there were some feedback that would require some attention if I'm going to hold another barbeque.
For one, there were no vegetables. I reckon the next barbeque I do, I'd include a salad. That way, the girls can indulge without feeling guilty. Haha...
The other would have been marshmallows. Haha... Honestly, I thought no one would be interested in eating that. But I was wrong.
As for the food itself, honestly, I was rather disappointed. The general consensus from the guests was that the food was good but to me, I felt it was bad.
The fish lacked taste, which would be due to the poor seasoning. The chicken was too salty and the prawns were too hard. The only dishes I enjoyed was the beef and bacon wrap.
Overall, everyone enjoyed themselves. But as a host, there are still lots of room for improvement.
